  1. I really enjoyed UEA. It has something for everyone. The course load is quite intense at times, but I understand that the GMC has advised the med school to reduce the number of assignments. I know the people 2 years behind me (the current final years) have fewer than we did, and one of them has told me that a year or two behind them have even fewer.

I felt that Norwich was a tiny bit too far to go to London every weekend - under 2hrs by train but there's travel at both ends, however some people seemed to leave Norwich most weekends.

Norwich has great bars, great restaurants, fab shopping, loads of history, lots of churches if you're into that. It's easy to get around. There are loads of nice villages nearby if you're into the village pub scene or country walks.

The university accommodation is expensive, but worth it for living so close to the uni and hospital. Most people move into the 3 score area, behind the Spire hospital....I guess 2 miles from uni. An easy bike ride

Feel free to ask me any other questions that you might have.

    Cheers

    Eli

    Hi Eli,

Thanks for your post about COWA. How did you find UEA? Did you enjoy it? What was Norwich like?

    Thanks for your time.
