    hi
please tell me what is the useful of usmle?
could i work in the US after passing the exams?
  3. I did not stay there in my 1st yr but according to people who did, Pritchatts was good for ease of access but it was quiet. So it depends if you like a bit of peace and quiet or if you're a social butterfly and want halls where there is always something brewing. If socials are high up on your agenda, the Vale is considered the place to be. Tennis Courts are across the road from the main Vale so are good too.

    Hey

I've been looking at Pritchatts park accommodation because it's closer to the med school , would you reccomend it?
  5. 2nd favourite is not good enough! lol, fear enough if you have the luxury of a million A* at GCSEs. Last year was officially the last year I could have got in on my GCSEs. 2008 intake are too clever for me!

hehe.. Birmingham's not my fav. I added it last minute cos of the GCSE requirements (and I like the course structure)- kind of like a back-up. But I'm warming to it... it might be my... second... favourite...
  7. Sorry for the late reply. Been away. The course structure has changed alot since I was in my preclinical yrs but it's all do-able if u work consistently i.e dont take a week off at a time without doing any work. Anatomy was always the most time-consuming part of the preclinical yrs so you had to do some everyday (or atleast most days). How I study isnt a good example cos I tend to do it when I need to but I also tend to look up stuff I find interesting from hospital days or when you are set learning prescriptions in community medicine (GP stuff from year 1). I think it is definitely worth doing after ur degree but the 4 yr graduate entry course would be ideal for u if you're willing to work hard in the 1st yr. It is highly competitive and u'd need a 1st class degree or 2.1 if from oxbridge. And if u'r applying for a 5 yr course, you need a mininum of 6A* (this is info from last yr's requirements) to be in with a realistic chance. good luck with ur studies! x
