I’m also in my honours year and also worrying about exams etc, but at the moment we don't know if we'll even get a place or what degree classification we'll get and you will probably do better than u think. Honours year is tough.. i was just wondering whether anyone who is already on the course can tell me how intense and stressful exams are in comparison and especially clinical exams?
Also, is there time to take a few weekends off in the term to go home to visit family and is there chance to actually take a break over the xmas period? I’m prepared for hard work but i’m just trying to find out realistically what it’s like being on the course and whether i'l have the time to travel home.
Also, i was wondering whether anyone knew if the BDS exams are standardised across the country because London/Liv/UCLAN, etc are essay exams, whereas peninsula is MCQ based? How does that compare as i would have imagined the MCQs are more straight forward, but i don’t know whether the exams in subsequent years are set as standard by the BDS, ie, is it MCQ based throughout the 4yrs at peninsula?
Last qsn... does anyone know how likely and when the government will decide if the training yr will be increased to 2yrs?
Sorry for all these questions, i imagine if i got an offer id have no queries and just do it as it is what iv wanted to to do for years, but if im going to uproot 350miles away from home i want to make the right chose. Thanks
