Hi James, sorry for the late reply...havent been on here for a while! Just finished my first year-its been hard work but definately no regrets as its such a brilliant course- durham is really unique in the way it gives such good patient contact thoughout the year-i heard that some universities have a couple of hospital visits in their first year, whereas weve had 4, followed a lady through her pregnancy, we have visitors with conditions were learning about come in to talk to us and give us a more personal account of the disease, such as cystic fibrosis, spina bifida, autism. We also do body painting as part of anatomy which is really funny! I wish you the best of luck to get in! Hopefully see you next year. I am so desperate to get into med school! Im doing the COWA access first i hope! then hope that gets me in.
Just wanted a little info from an insider as to what life is like as a med student.
