Most unis will have a gym facility with their sports halls. As for time available, I'm sure the first two years should give you enough time, probably more. Plenty of medics manage far more time-consuming team sports and charity work.

To be fair, out of all the university gyms I've checked out they are a lot cheaper than a normal gym. I think the cheapest i found was like £70 for a year.
Aberdeen first year, it's bloody awesome up here.

you ave a good university, macca.
ours costs considerably more than the local ones! obv the univeristy worked out long ago that peeple coming to nottingham are 95% posh students, so they can put their prices thru the roof wiff out losing a profit.
fortunately, there are ways round using our gyms if you aint a member.
(for instance, the hospital gym (which is huge, not a shithole like the georges one) can be joined for free.
our hall is apparently opening a free mini-gym next year too, and the hall next door has a tiny gym that costs £40 to join for the year.Last edited by Gizmo says -; 23-07-2009 at 02:23 PM.

Yeh well I know in Dundee it's really cheap and I've heard Aberdeen is quite cheap aswel. Dundee has a great university gym and Aberdeen has a new sports centre thingy opening in the next couple of years which is cool.

I love Dundee. REALLY love Dundee.
Yeah there's always time for gym. However, student gyms don't tend to have student-friendly opening times.
