I hope you guys go on Youtube just to get an idea of the seriousness involved in MMA fighting, Type in "UFC" into the youtube search bar!!!!!!!!!11

As Paul Merton says, it should be done for the laugh not to produce killing machines. I did martial arts for the laugh and am taking them up again for the laugh.

I've only watched his China documentary. I liked him, he's quite unpretentious.

UFC and Boxing
Hi, the recent posts have been off the subject :P. I just wanterd to share my personal experiences of Boxing and mixed martial arts. I've been doing martial arts since the age of 5, well if i can remember right. I've been on and off so i've learnt quite a few. My latest training was actually mixed martial arts and boxing before that.
I fought in several tournaments with are veryyy disciplined and regulated. Yes, its true you do get hurt a lot and can caouse croninc brain damage and most people in the sport know that. And i my opnion the sport is just fine as long as every 1 is informate of the dangers. I think the governament and BMA should not interfere as it will piss a lot of people including me off.

I did Wado Ryu karate for several years. I still get very sore twinges in my left knee from hours of standing in shiko dachi stance. Twas still good craic but I preferred Aikiwa Jitsu cos we got to grapple and train with weapons. I wanna take up judo and kendo now, just need to get some money together.

Ninja?? University martial arts clubs tend to be not so good anyway. You'd be better off trying to find a decent club in your area. I used to go to a free running club at an art college which was pretty cool though.
