Triathlon

In a moment of over-excitement I signed up for a triathlon. Imagine my surprise when I discovered just how many hours you need to spend on a bike / in a pool etc in order to be prepared...

So, if anyone at St George's, or even London, is into this kind of thing and may be interested in some joint training or just swapping training tips etc, drop me a line.

Tri's aren't that bad, unless its an Ironman... in which case ignore what I said and prepare for some laps!

Basically aim to be able to do the individual elements ok and make sure you pace yourself on the race and take plenty of fluids! I did the London Olympic distance last year and found it was a great excuse to cycle to the London lidos and do some open air swimming (Hamsted Heath, The Serpentine, Brockwell Park and London Fields).

I'm based in North London so it might be difficult to catch up although I've applied to the St Georges GEP so who knows!
