ENGLAND..... dont fink so..... besides, da whole english approach 2 da football is quite arrogant n disrespectful 2wards da other nations i.e. ppl are already publicly preparing for victory parade in london on July da 12th...... wot da hell is dat all abt? rooney's out, so they'l fall at quaters
BRAZIL....... yea, hot favourites..... but as much as i lov 2 c beautiful atacking football at its best..... i dont want 2 c brazil yet again, in another world cup final!!!!! so i hop they dont go past the semis
ITALIA...... my team..... but i dont think r going to win...... due to dat juve match-fixing scandel...... besides, we italians r xtrmly unlucky wen it comes 2 penalties...... so i think we'l go up2 quaters, mayb scrape a semi n den lose out on penalties again 2 someone like holland or france.
HOLLAND, SPAIN, PORTUGAL..... always disapointing on da world stage
ARGENTINA...... yea, it would b quite refreshing seeing them lift da cup..... but they dont have enough fire power to go all da way nor they r defensively disciplined..... plus argie keepers r usually shite, always flapping in mid-air.... keep a close eye on lionel messi (barcelona) tho!!!
i think it will be a FRANCE/GERMANY finale...... and henry is 1 to watch and especially dis being zidane's last tournament...... it'l b a nice farewell for da old master...... france for me will tip it
outside tip is UKRAINE.... dark horse..... shevchenko will take da golden boot
any1 else for FRANCE?Last edited by the_last_1_left_again; 02-06-2006 at 05:38 AM.

ByDaWay, u also hav to give a simple reason/argument why u tip da team 2 win.... come'on everybody lets make dis convo a lil mor colourful n contraversial
football widout arguments/disagreements becomes boring!!!!!!

Not sure bout ukraine either, they were the first ta qualify for the finals an its their first wirld cup finals so might suffer from stage fright.
funny how rooney got injured from a tackle by a portugese player, under a portugese manager - last time that happened was in the Euros an england collapsed.
i think england will go out in the usual way - they'll get to penalties an some unlucky player will miss it.

02-06-2006, 05:23 PM #18well, the reason ukraine is my 'dark horse' bcoz they r unknown quantity in world football...... wid da likes of shevchenko and rebrov...... they r quite an attacking force..... shevchenko also being 29 and rebrov 30 (am i rite?), this might jst b their very 1st n last world cup, so i doubt it very much they'l suffer from 'stage freight'..... dats my personal opinion........ mayb am jst talking bollcks

so, ukraine might jst b dat team dis yr..... dont really fancy any of da african sides..... ghana looks bit hot 2 handle...... but yet again african football wil fail 2 deliver........ it would b nice if they did or if japan/south korea built on their home success
also czech-rep r looking a lil dangerous as every1 is ruling them out and da likes of nedved coming 2 an age, he might have something 2 shout abt 2
all getting xcitd now!
as 4 england...... i think they hav (or should hav) learnt from da past n practiced penalties...... but their dwn fall mayb dat the whole squad was accomodated around rooney...... and wid him out, they dont quite have a master plan nemore! its a bit hit n miss now.... especially wid crouch, who'll look very ordinary against a good defensive sideforzaITALIAWC2006... come'on azzurri
