ouch!!!!! out again on penalties...... not 2 say england played quite poorly throughout the tournament.... the whole nation was promised 'a big performance' but it jst never came....... so mayb england didnt realy deserved to go through
does any1 else thinks rooney deserved the red?
i think he did...... if stomping on somone's 'family jewels' doesnt buy u a red card, then i wonder wot does.... and now the whole english media/fans are going to make ronaldo scapegoat for bafoony's lack of self-discipline
oh well, if its any concelation then i guess we'll be out as well on tuesday against germany....... needless to say it'l be on penalties again..... rotten italian luck!!!!

mmm but fing is wuz it a deliberate tread?
we wont know til rooney is can onestly tell us, if eva.
but its tru, we were neva good enuff to really win it in our own style, certainly.
but then - many teams culd win it if they were steadfast enuff wif the rite tactics...this aint rugby where only two teams can win the world cup.
Greece won the euro cup and theres really a difference between the lvl of play in the two considering all styles.

well...... it was deliberate....... and no1 is going to come out n openly say that oh am sorry, jst fancied a bit of portugese nuts
tactics are important and and the last 4...... all the favs glitzy-galmour football playing nations....... argentina, spain, brazil, netherlands are out
french, germans, italians.......... all 3 nations started slow but they r still there........ simple reason even tho were comparitevly poor in the group stages, they eventually produced a good performance when it was required. whereas, the whole english nation kept waiting patiently but the good perforemance just didnt come....... aginst portugal the stage was set for the taking and to be fair they had 1 or 2 really good chances but jst didnt took em.......
and the english media/public still thinks/believes they were 1 of the best sides in the world cup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aye, but 'ow do you know it wuz deliberate?
it looks ambiguous.
you're rite about english supporters being blinkered but hey we're not all blinkered. and to be fair weare ranked pretty igh by FIFA if thats anyfing to go by.
This wuz our best chance since euro 96, i reckon.

it was deliberate coz it was mellicious....... and knowing rooney, he does have a tendency to become agressive/violent wen things dont go his way!!!!!!
agreed?
as 4 FIFA rankings....... czech are 2nd, USA is 4th/5th, mexicans are quite high too..... FIFA rankings is another useless statistical rubbish
yep, it was a good chance..... but individuals dont win world cups, teams do....... and england team was quite poor........ didnt gel together at all
there were glimpses against really shite opposition...... but wen they faced half a decent team....... they bottled it and they know they bottled it

meh, i think it was accidental, and the ref wasn't even gonna send him off til he pushed ronaldo, thats hardly cause for a red card, hope rooney gets the chance to beat the crap out of him before he goes to madrid.
aarron lennon - should have been a penalty, even though at a closer look it quite obv wasn't, at first glance it was, and ref's never look close, so he should have given it, stupid argentinians!! although he did redeem himself when he disallowed that goal!
england were the better side anyway! if it hadn't gone to penaltys then i'm sure we would have won in the end!!
brazil france game - france deserved to win but i would have preffered brazil!
Italy to win now yeh?!
Don't want:
germany with them being german
france with them being french
portugal with them knocking us out and ronaldo playing for them
bit of a process of elimination really
John Terry/Stevie Gerrard for captain now!!
one final thing....... Good Look McClaren me being a boro girl and that

never a penalty in million years... absolutely fantastic challenge!!!! ref was spot on with almost all of his decisions inc. the sending off and disallowed portugese goal...... 9.5/10

so, is that a "morale victroy" then .........even with 11men, england didnt gel n never looked like they wanted to win...... extremely dissapointing to say the least given that the talent they had at their disposal!!!!!!
in penalties, at 1 stage england were ahead..... if liverpool's 'captian marvel' wouldv converted his penalty, england wouldv won...... and sven kept saying.... oh dont u worry, we r practicing penalties everyday!!!!!! rubbish
However, gerrard should still be the captain....... not terry...... good defender but doesnt inspire players around him as does gerrard
McLaren should be discarded with his buddy sven...... he didnt do anything to inspire his players either....... BigSam shouldv bin the england manager, not red faced McLaren, who was only appointed as Scolari turned down FA's offer

i dont think italia will win ....... we are lacking that 'X factor' upfront, i mean 1player we can rely on to create some magic like ballack or c.ronaldo or zidane etc...... totti is shite, del piero doesnt belong to international stage......as always we'll be out in the semis against the germans on penalties....
france-germany finale
