there are several paintballing socs in the local area that will giv you discount rates for being students and shuld be better value than starting up a sgul one.
the closest large scale paintball soc is at effingham junction, in a massive arena. its about forty minutes away on the train and the walk/bus to the station at wimbledon). Thats the biggest, but if you dont need that size theres smaller ones in surrey and south london too.

that's possibly true, but you may be able to work in conjunction with paintball sites, you can give them some sort of guarentee of income (x numbers of times per term) and they give you a better deal.

I know of the ones you speak about Gizmo at effingham junction. They're still fairly pricey and the sites doesn't offer much leaniancy.
Chicken66 - re-ball sounds like an interesting concept? Wouldn't it hurt if you're using large calibre balls that can sustain reusage or be too light/weak to actually tag people? Uni-comps sounds good, are you in one?

I know of two unis that do re-ball: birmingham and aberdeen (there may be more), ask them directly about re-ball is probably best as i'm yet to have a go. I think they mainly use it for team training, and also use it for 'freshers' events, such as in freshers week.
I dont play tournament myself as my university dont play, but i used to go to Birmingham Uni and now drive their minibus, and pod-bitch (ie fill up pots with paint, clean them down, gas up the markers etc during the matches) it's really good fun, and i've made friends from other unis by doing it. I think next year there is an idea to have more events at lower level for other universities to get into it - google UKPSF University, and it brings up the forums for this.

The three med schools with easy access to great uni teams are Birmingham, Aberdeen and UEA. UWE covers Cardiff and Bristol.
Problem is, paintball costs a bomb so few unis have the funding to provide the full covereage that is need (to ensure the 'poor' people have equal access)
Then again, it's a talking point for me - What will I bring/do at uni? Set up a team!
