Gray's Anatomy - 39th Edition

Hey

Has anyone seen the new edition of Gray's yet? It's absolutely fantastic, there are more diagrams and photos and the number of pages has been reduced...although it is still a mighty volume! It has been edited by Prof. Standring, based at GKT, and it really doesn't fail to impress. The neuroanatomy chapter is particularly good.

I'm doing an Anatomy BSc at the moment, was using Moore and Dalley before...with some frustration as to the lack of detail in some areas...but Gray's is in a class of its own. You can also access the wesbite and get weekly updates for the lifetime of the edition I believe.

Truly, you can look up just about anything and it will have its own paragraph.

Has anyone else had a look yet?

Id love this book cos i like detail too - not that i really need it on my degree im just really nosy and i dont find tortora or moore and daley (the ones i own) detailed enough to satisfy my curiousity. Unfortunately the cheapest i can find this book is £99 which is WAY too much for a poor little student like me. Have you bought it or are you reading it at uni? If so let me know if you know of any cheaper copies it sounds really good!

Unless you want the e-edition, you can get it for £89 on Amazon, or if you are an MPS member you can get it direct from elsevier for £79 (the e-edition is £96 with MPS discount from elsevier too)

Thumbs up

i got the new student edition to review and its fab. i also have moore and daley and have relied on it for two years, grays diagrams and clinical boxes are far better and the access to the grays 39 online is very helpful!!! its alot cheaper than the 39 so if you're not doing pure anatomy i'ld recommend it as a great alternative

maybe an E-BOOK vesion will be more useful ,because the hardcopy is too heavy, also the website version is not quick enough because the network speed in my school in China isn't quick enough
