Biochemistry Texts

Understand quite significant variation can occur between schools, but I'd be grateful for some advice as to the importance of buying a biochem text and which to buy.

Book list has Biochemistry: Molecules, Cells and the Body
Receives awful reviews on amazon though. Anyone proffer any suggestions?

Thanks
Rick

Ive been told not to bother with my own biochem book, as i'd hardly ever use it and theres plenty in the library, but then Sheffield have just cut about 70% of the biochem from the new course.

"Basic Medical Biochemistry"

Marks, Marks & Smith

I found this text to be the best for me. Might be worth a look.

Thanks mac.
Think I'll see if I can get it from the library, I'll post an opinion if I remember.

Though if you're serious about biochem you'll go for straight Voet & Voet (the full version) or else Stryer.
