Elaine N Marieb's Physiology and Anatomy

I would be interested to receive comments from others about this text book, Elaine N Marieb's Physiology and Anatomy, 6th edition.

Although it is an international text from the states it represents the best value because:

    A) It is in its 6th (and recent) edition - so is popular and correct
    B) It contains few ambiguities or unresolvable facts, 99% accurate
    C) It is hardback - so is durable.
    D) It comes with a colour atlas of photos of about 60 pages
    E) It comes with a CD with interactive learning materials, I bought it when Amazon had a £5 off which may be why the CD only contains 7 of the possible 8 topics, but see E
    F) It comes with a code to access all the books contents online, including the elusive 8th topic on the endocrine system
    G) It is excellent - little ambihuity and 99% solid fact
    H) It has much colour and integrates physiology and anatomy to eleviate the reduncy of reading overlapping explanations by two authors

Can anyone advise on the difference between this US->international text and the UK vocabularly? I am half way through reading its 1300 odd pages and any praise for it would help me through the rest.

Here it is at Amazon for £47 now, http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...998436-5002828

I think this book is the best choice for medical student freshmen
given the simple language it uses, the very detailed images and the
great order it uses for bringing subjects...
I believe Elaine made a hit with this book...
right now in africa it's the fastest growing seller amongst medical students
and it's sale is growing faster then R. Snell's clinical Anatomy and Guyton's
    physiology.
add to all that it great refrences to basic sciences.
