A New Physiology Text - Boron & Boulpaep - Any good ?

Looking for good 'reference standard' detailed text book on physiology today in Waterstones, I looked through various 'popular 'books with hundeds of copies on display - Guyton&Hall, Berne&Levy etc.

Then I came across a single copy of "Medical Physiology" by Boron&Boulpaep (subtitled 'A cellular and molecular approach'). It seems to be the first edition and was first published sometime last year I guess (copyright 2003).

Anyways, it looks absolutely fantastic (easy to read font, beautiful diagrams and pictures, nice glossy paper) and at first glance seems very detailed and well structured. I'd guess that it has more information in it than I will need for undergrad studies, but so long as it is carefully presented, I think the extra details might make it quite interesting. And being a 2003 edition, at least it will be up to date.

On the otherhand, I bet there are some errors (it is a new book after all) but hopefully they'll be posted on the web-site (which also looks pretty good and is public access) below.

What does anyone think? Have I wasted my hard earned dosh? :-)
