    Which medical journal to read??

I want to read a medical journal and have been told it would help me in my interviews for medicine but I don't know what to subscribe to? I would be really grateful for any suggestions!

Just read a few articles in the student bmj, it is pretty good for current issues facing med students. There are some really good articles about professionalism, evaluating yourself and knowing your limits - all topics that may come up in interview.

If you really want to read an article in a 'real' journal then pick one article in the BMJ that really does interest you and concentrate on that, and read around it. Otherwise you put yourself at danger of walking in the interview and potentially being asked about the article but forgetting or not understanding significant parts of the issue for the sake of trying to sound clever.

U can get the sBMJ free online, and some of the research articles from the BMJ online for free.

The NEJM podcast is very good, it gives you the highlights from the week's NEJM, with a decent mix of review articles and essays, and less than half an hour long. NEJM -- About Podcasting

They also used to do a very good weekly series of topical interviews, but sadly they haven't added anything new to that feed for a year.
