glasgow medic 1st year curriculum!help!

Hi everybody,
I am starting my medical course in Glasgow university, point entry 2.
So I was wondering what students study in year1 in glasgow medical faculty... is there any helpful textbooks or subjects that i have to concentrate on???
any help would be greatly appreciated.
