The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

Mark Haddon

More of a kids book than an adults book but I found it a really interesting insite into Aspergers Syndrome. Only takes a couple of hours to read but is well worth it.

Isn't 'Dog In The Night' a syndome to do with SVC obstruction or something like that? (random things you find out when doing research for essays)

I can't find a google link for it, though, so maybe someone can confirm I've got that right?

Yeah I've read it it's great! Agree it's more of a childrens style but it paints a clear picture of Asperger's Syndrome....excellent

I agree - It's a brilliant book for gaining an insight in Asbergers. Knowing a child with Asberger's, it's also incredibly accurate. Deinately recommend it. This was my 'medical' reading whilst on holiday

I thought it was really good, couldn't put it down. It's definately good for getting an insight into Asperger's, but it's a good storyline too.

It was a good book and an interesting insight, but I was slightly disappointed at the uneventful end - don't think I'll spoil it for anyone by saying that. Strangely, I found myself identifying with many of Chris' thoughts, not the more bizarre ones relating to colour, but certainly those relating to problem solving.
