Fresher
I am a fresher for this year's sept 2005 entry.So, can u guys recommend me a list of books that is useful & good ?

It's really going to depend on what med school you're going to. See if you can get a reading list, or speak to a second year. I'd avoid buying anything until you start - it's tempting to spend hundreds of pounds on books that look promising (I did, and regret it), but you often end up never opening them.
Saying that, some classics: Kumar and Clark's General Medicine, Underwood's Pathology, and anything from the Crash Course or At A Glance series which are specific to individual subject areas.

Check out the University of Durham part of the forum where you'll find a list of recommended texts for 1st year. You'll most definitely need an anatomy text book though I'd probably wait for your own university's preferred reading list.
