Books on Clinical Examination Methods

About to go into my third year and need to choose which book on clinical examination methods to get. The ones on my reading list are:
1) Hutchinson's Clinical Methods
2) MacLeod's Clinical Examination
3) Clinical Examination (Epstein, Perkin)
4) Clinical Examination (Talley, O'Connor)
What dya reckon?

Hi

I would get Talley and O'Connor. I have found it so much easier to read than the others I have tried. It keeps my attention much more too. I have the pocketbook version.

The pocket version of Talley and O' Connor is a fantatsic little reference to have in your coat pocket on wards.

At my school we have to use big Talley and O' Connor as it is loved by both the Medicine and Surgery departments and many of our MCQs are based on it. Personally I find it rather difficult to read but I struggle through. I've heard good things about MacLeod.

The latest edition of McLeod's is our recommended text and I have to say I find it really useful. I used to have Epstein but found it a bit vague and waffly, whereas McLeod has what you need to know and is much more concise and useable.
