ive found some people in uni admissions revealing thier true identity-makes sense in a way as they can address a lot of questions and also...well humanise the apps procedure a litle more-make it a less stressful and apprehensive procedure.

then again...if big cheeses were hiding themselves amongst our community......i think it would be rather beneficial-as one can really analyse the kinds of people applying for medicine at thier institution, address issues as well as ummm-just get to know people better eh? my opinion though, nowt more!#

obviously i think its students who may have a look in the forums, and the only way they could link ur ucas form to you is if your avatar is ur real name (damn-shoulda thought of that one!) or if they *know* a persons email address.

Personally, if I were an admissions tutor, I'd just employ a mini-army of penniless undergraduates to keep up to date with what was being said on forums...I doubt it would be utterly impossible to link up applicants with screennames if you knew enough (and were prepared to do a little underhanded hacking...)

...and this is quite clearly why i am NOT an admissions tutor, and also proof positive that I have an overactive, paranoid imagination...

I don't know about this forum, but here in the USA several of my friends have gone on job interviews and been quizzed about content of their myspace account!! It' a window to your soul, people, be careful!

lol that sounds very creepy...employers bother searching the net for their myspace account? well i have nothing to worry about...i don't have a myspace account lol! i know...i'm not 'with it' at all! just haven't been bothered to start one up yet....one day...maybe...
