wow, i have never actually thought of it as being dependant upon the type of questions being asked...but then i guess they can find out what type of areas in the brain are not working as well, by using pictures, sound etc.

Hmm

In a way its not really 'news' though is it..? It just highlights how important it is to ask a patient questions clearly - otherwise you might attribute some of your poor communication skills onto the patient's disease..

But yeah. Interesting..

yep, i suppose more than anything it tells us that when taking history or advising treatment of a patient we really need to be clear. I never really thought of how important questions were before...

like my consulant said 'being a doctor is like being a detective, you have to solve a puzzle'

I have noticed they always use the Occams Razor theory though

in all things being equal, use the simplest theory
