Weren't they blaming the mattresses recently? I almost died from that apparently, stopped breathing, luckily my dad caught me just on time.

It said people are taking more precautions. What sort of precautions are they would anyone know? Very scary thought, your baby dying without any apparent reason.

What an odd study ? surely there could be many theories as to why infants die in their cots. Seretonin levels is just one of thousands. Never mind the question of how the imbalance occurs! I found it intresting to read that
in the uk 300 still die a year "although numbers have fallen by 75% since the early 1990s "

The article puts this down to an advertising campaign? Sounds more like a lawsuit coverup to me. 75% reduction is huge. Something has changed. The matress theory was well studied along with babies sleeping on their bellies.

Whatever the cause, the sadness for the parents is uncomprehendable.
