The disgusting thing is that this has to be news.

Not the abortion, or not any more than any other, the crime.

Probably very easily.

Statistics indicate maybe 1 in 9, maybe more, of people were physically sexually abused as children. Logic dictates most of these run normal lives, unaffected broadly speaking.

The attitude that rape etc destroy people is probably half of the reason it does in some cases.

Please don't talk about the consequences of rape without having had to deal with it urself. How people deal with sexual assault depends on whatever else they've been through in their lives its not an isolated event. Whether they can lead a normal life is totally up to them, i don't know why this had to become a story either but i'm glad a child doesn't have to be brought up as a product of cruelty.

1 in 9! I thought the figure was much lower! Just shows hw naive people who have been brought up in a very quiet rural community know then :S

Yu have a point ther.

But still, thats just despicable

It's a story because abortion is still illegal in romania (with all the shit that brings to the fan)...

..which was what i meant was truly disgusting, earlier.

No it isn't, it's illegal after 14 weeks and the girl is 21 weeks pregnant.

I know two girls who were raped. They get on with their lives all right but it still comes back to haunt them now and then.
