MPs to vote on abortion limit cut

MPs are set to vote on the issue of whether to reduce the abortion time limit from 24 weeks to 20 weeks or less.

phew... I thought for a while there they might at least vote on cutting it to 22 weeks and slowly chip away at women's fertility rights that way. At last I have one single positive thing to say about Gordon Brown as PM (even though the b***ard doubled my income tax for a couple of months, but hey)

yeah so did i. but when they rejected the bill to stop hybrid embryos i had a small hope they'd reject the abortion cut as well. thanks heavens they did.

defeated by 332 to 190, at least we know there are 332 intelligent people in parliament :P
