the heath hospital is the largest hospital in cardif and where the school of medicine is based. as all the smaller hospitals surrounding cardiff are used by cardiff students for placements i would imagine if you contact the school of medicine they would be able to help you find a placement. theres several good hodpitals in and around cardiff, and cardiff itself is a brilliant city to stay in, i'd reccommend it!

Um, i dont know which ones definitively do. the hospitals in and around cardiff which have medical students from cardiff university (and therefore may accept elective students) are:
University Hospital (Heath), Royal Glamorgan, Llandough, St Davids Hospital (rehabilitation, long term care), Rookwood (neurology, rehabilitation), Whitchurch (Psychiatry). I'm not sure which ones would take elective students, you would be best to contact the university or the hospitals directly.
