Visa for NZ

Has anyone who's been on an elective to New Zealand needed a working visa? I assumed that all I needed was a visitors visa.

Dont bother with a visa just go on a tourist visa which you can get when you arrive if you are a UK citizen, thats what i did. if anyone asks youre travelling for 2 months. No one will ever know you were in the hospital since you are not studying at a university or working and paying tax so they have no way of tracing you. I never had a problem.

2 of my friends (non medics) came over to work whilst they were travelling and they sorted their visa on arrival. If all else fails you'd have to end up doing that and that means more holiday for you woo hoo!
