Anyone been to Venezuela or other South American countries???

Hi everybody,
Just wondered if anyone has been to Venezuela on their elective??? Planning mine at the moment, for march-april next year, and seriously considering there, done a 2 week med spanish course in Seville and doing evening classes and was wondering if anyone had any tips about Central/South American electives, and the level of spanish they needed?

Hi VenDoc,
That's so kind of you! We are looking at Universidad de los Andes, in Merida as one of the places, we haven't got any other names as yet, but would be interested in anywhere really! We would love to travel around the country a little, and visit the sites like Angel Falls etc, but as for the 6-7 weeks we're working anywhere nice and friendly where we can get involved and learn about the place, culture and healthcare system would be fab!

I would be so grateful for any help you could give me!

I would really like to do my elective in Central America preferably Honduras. I am currently attending spanish evening classes. Do you have any contacts?
