    how many times can you take the MCAT?

    AND does it have to be taken in the states?

    As of last year, the MCAT can only be taken by computer - this has increased its availabilty outside of the U.S. The test can be taken several times. However, medical schools see ALL scores, and it does not look good. In addition, the AAMC (MCAT test writers) have a rule wherby you need special permission if you want to take it again after 3 attempts. Take it only when you are best prepared.
