    Clinical Experience?!?!

    Hi ppl
I'm new here hoping that I might get some help. I have a few questions. First of all, is i tnecessary to have some clinical experience to apply for med schools?
And secondly, since MCAT is very competitive, r there any chances of getting scholarships based on one's MCAT scores?

I'm in NY n I'm planning to pursue my education here.
Hope I'm of some use here

I'm assuming you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Limited funding is available at top medical schools for excellent GPA's and MCAT scores. Washington University in St. Louis provides 10 free rides every year for such candidates. Harvard also has limited funds. State schools do not have as much money.

Generally, three types of scholarships exist: merit (grades - greater amounts), need (financial hardship - lesser amounts), and categorical (member of a minority group).

    I hope that helps.
