    Thumbs up Graduate Medicine Book

    Hello everyone,

I thought you might be interested in a book that has recently been published about Graduate Medicine: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Graduate-Ent...9147636&sr=8-2

Quite a few of us from Newcastle's GEP contributed to the book so it should prove helpful for those wanting a place.

    Good old Matt Green.

Was chatting to him about a UKCAT book he was working on earlier this year.

I got this of amazon the day the link was posted. It's good, has a good chapter on finances and being a mature student. Good info on madical careers... I learned a lot about how the grading works in different specialties etc. I only read the chapters that were relevent to my situation eg skipped te chapter on med school interviews.

It's a good book, will probably dip in and out of it as I go through the process of applying.

Lots of the info is going to be out of date next year as the funding changes and uni's change their requirement etc but thats unavoidable.

Overall I'd definitely recommend it... Especially for people like me who are new to the world of trying to get into medicine

Thanks OP for the link x
