Evening A-Levels at Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College - any good?

I'm applying to medicine as a graduate and have just started AS level Chemistry and Biology at Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College.

Despite hearing generally positive reviews of the teaching at EH&WLC before I applied, I'm a little worried about what I've seen so far of the course. I'm on an A/S course and so far the topics that have been covered are more reflective of a pre-GCSE course, things like the difference between a plant and animal cell and how to use a microscope.

Has anyone else done either of these courses before? Were they sufficiently challenging/comprehensive enough to get As/A*s in the exams? What was your view of the teaching quality?

@Kaiser Wilhelm, I'm now looking at studying AS/A2 Level Chemistry and Biology at the same college - what have your experiences been of taking up that course?

I'm having difficulty finding information about these courses on their website, and the information's a little hard to get hold of over the telephone. For the 1 year courses, are they offering the complete A-Level or just the AS? I know that the two options are the full-time course and the part-time (intensive) evening course - what's the difference? Is it just in hours?
