I think 4 applications per applicant is more for the medical schools benefit rather than the applicant- its not to encourage us not to put all of our eggs into one basket, its to cut down on the workload for admissions considering that sieving applicants for med, vet and dentistry is a very labour intensive process compared to most other courses that dont interview or deal with such massive applicant: place disparity. I think that this was especially true when there was 6 places as opposed to 5 on the ucas. Dont think the system has your best interest at heart!!!
