I have no interviews! (Also trying out the moaning method) Just wondering, has Barts or Kings given out interviews to any graduates for the 5 year course yet? Because I know they've been sending tons of them for A-level students, but I'm thinking maybe they're going to interview grads for the 5 yr later on? (Trying to think of logical reasons for the no interview thing rather than 'we just dont like you')
Degree: BSc Psychology - 1st Class Hons
2010 Entry
Oxford GEP - Rejected without interview (Low UKCAT)
Kings 5 yr - Rejected without interview - maybe UKCAT?
Southampton GEP - Rejected
Barts 5 Yr - Rejected - Missed UKCAT Cut-off
UKCAT - 627.5

Heartbroken...but
2011 Entry - Bring it on because I'm still standing

I just explained why I wanted to change to medicine, things I had learned over my degree/gap year/experiences which could be useful; as well as a summary of general good deeds i have done, interests/hobbies and some work experience.
be yourself!
I sat down with an esteemed family friend consultant who told me straight away that he couldn't really help but tell me this: include those things above, and write it from my own thoughts.
If he interfered too much, or someone else did:
A) i'd never remember what 'I' said!
B) The voice has to be yours or those interviewers will notice the disconnection between you and your PS straight away. That's from a man who has been doing interviews for possibly the most prestigious university in the country for over a decade. So take it seriously!
Interview at Durham coming up this month, and based on GAMSAT should be having one at St. Georges too, waiting for an invite.Last edited by js-g; 03-12-2009 at 10:22 PM. Reason: Clarity
