Did you remember to start your personal statement with "If there's anything that being a national celebrity has taught me..."? That would surely have scored you some brownie points
Or, "I don't write shitty personal statements..."

Got an email from Queens about an interview today!

Yep I got an interview for Newcastle GEP today too
Do you mind saying what your UKCAT score was?

    2010 Graduate applicant to:
    Glasgow (5 yr) - Interviewed 2/2
    Newcastle (GEP) - Interviewed 26/1
Queens Belfast (5 yr) Interviewed 17/12
    Aberdeen (5 yr) - Interviewed 3/3

BSc Music Technology (2:1), MA Sonic Arts
    UKCAT 697.5 (2790)

Studying Biology and Chemistry this year.

Similar to yours; VR 700, QR 710, AR 710, DA 690 overall average 702.5

<rant> It annoys me so much that so many Universities seem to hold the UKCAT in such high regard and allow it to play such a prominent role in the selection process. It would be fine if you had like 2 hours per section as the questions themselves aren't difficult, but given the fact that the time is so short, it means that 50% of the score is based on random luck. </rant>

Congratulations on the Queens interview Is that the first?

I totally agree. I can't help but think that it's just a more elaborate form of lottery.

Queen's is the first, yes. And you're very close to my score! I hope I don't just miss out!!!

What time is yours at Chwirky? Mine's at 11.30. Could have done with just being slightly later in the day so I didn't have to stay over really. Not that I'm complaining though, just happy to get one!

Mine's at 2:30 in the afternoon, although I'm going to try to be there for 1pm to get a tour of the facility.

I'm going to be staying over anyway, and probably remain for a few days. I did my undergraduate degree at Durham University (which is very close to Newcastle) and I still have a few friends there so I'm going to take the opportunity to spend some time with them while I'm up north.

Heh, well, I'm EXACTLY 24 hours before you. Let's hope they don't get crabby while their waiting to go for lunch!
