28-11-2009 01:37 AM #21Or, "I don't write shitty personal statements..."Did you remember to start your personal statement with "If there's anything that being a national celebrity has taught me..."? That would surely have scored you some brownie points

Similar to yours; VR 700, QR 710, AR 710, DA 690 overall average 702.5
<rant> It annoys me so much that so many Universities seem to hold the UKCAT in such high regard and allow it to play such a prominent role in the selection process. It would be fine if you had like 2 hours per section as the questions themselves aren't difficult, but given the fact that the time is so short, it means that 50% of the score is based on random luck. </rant>
Congratulations on the Queens interview
Is that the first?

28-11-2009 06:22 AM #23I totally agree. I can't help but think that it's just a more elaborate form of lottery.<rant> It annoys me so much that so many Universities seem to hold the UKCAT in such high regard and allow it to play such a prominent role in the selection process. Queen's is the first, yes. And you're very close to my score! I hope I don't just miss out!!!

What time is yours at Chwirky? Mine's at 11.30. Could have done with just being slightly later in the day so I didn't have to stay over really. Not that I'm complaining though, just happy to get one!

Mine's at 2:30 in the afternoon, although I'm going to try to be there for 1pm to get a tour of the facility.
I'm going to be staying over anyway, and probably remain for a few days. I did my undergraduate degree at Durham University (which is very close to Newcastle) and I still have a few friends there so I'm going to take the opportunity to spend some time with them while I'm up north.
