Work Experience/Sahdowing/voluntary work
Hi,
I was just wondering whether the following would be enough w/exp for entry on to a GEP (from someone straight out of university):
3 months, once a week at a nursing home (2yrs ago)
3 days at a skills centre for people with learning difficulties (2yrs ago)
1 week shadowing an orthopaedic surgeon (recent)
1 week shadowing a geneticist (recent)
1 week shadowing a medical officer for a sports governing body (recent)
6months+ of voluntary work in a hospital ward (ongoing)
I know that GEP's often ask for more w/exp than 5yr courses which is why I ask. Also, if there are certain GEP's i should avoid could you let me know please.
Cheers,
xxx
