    Tuition fee loan, quick query

During my first degree i did not apply for any kind of student loan (a rare case i know).

Can I apply for the tuition fee loan this time having had no funding before?

If you hold an honours degree from a UK university you will not be entitled to a tuition fee loan (probably).

I know I've added a word there, and that is because the actual regulations are a bit vague by saying you may not be entitled but most LEAs will interpret this as you are not.
I think there has been attempts to argue that if no previous loan has been taken, then it should be allowed but only accidental payouts seem to have happended.
I didn't have a full tuition fee loan for my degree as I studied with the OU - but did get 1 year of tuition fee loan for a single year at uni. Probably makes it very complicated (I have yet to apply)

What latestarter said. The argument will be that even if you personally received no funding, the course you did will have been subsidised to some extend by the govt. The only exception to this might be if you studied at a private university, or, I suppose, if you had paid full fees because you were then counted as an international student whereas you are not now. I would proceed *extremely cautiously* if you are given to understand that you will get the fees loan. Like latestarter, my previous degree was from the OU and self funded. I was told that I would get the full fee package, but in fact was turned down, which I found out only 3 weeks before my course started. Losing fees loan entitlement knocks on to maintenance grants and further on to bursaries. By the time I found out that I would be getting less and paying out more, I had missed all the deadlines for charitable funding/trusts etc (for what little that is worth). Assume the worst!

    Ok thats great, thank you!

Is there anything else thats different about funding other than that?

Obviously the government pay a lot of the actual cost to train us, as a post-graduate do i need to apply for any of this or do the uni's have that covered?
