Hi there everyone,
I was wondering who else is out there wanting to apply for 2010 entry as a graduate?
Weakest link style introductions........

Hi,
I'm going to apply for 2010 as well. I'm an experienced nurse (RN with PhD) and will give UKCAT, plus the dreaded GAMSAT 'a go' this year! I'm also 43 years-old so will be among the oldest of any medical student group. That’s proper Mature Student, that is

I'm Rob,
starting work as an HCA in a few weeks (damn CRB hurry up). Applying for 2010 to Nottingham, SGUL, Swansea and Kings. Took the dreaded GAMSAT last september and have tried very hard to blank the memories of the day from my mind. Taking UKCAT and keeping fingers crossed for at least one interview!
Good luck all with applications.

Thankfully I don't need the GAMSAT for any of the London unis (as far as I know!)
Is anyone doing any courses for the UKCAT or anything to prepare?

Hi guys
Im V, Im currently a mgmt consultant working in the city and feeling thoroughly unfulfilled. I have a first from Oxford in psychology and philosophy and am desperately trying to find an evening course to allow me to take chemistry a-level in a year! I start volunteering on the post-natal ward at my local hospital as soon as my CRB comes through (have previously worked as a GP's receptionist and a Surgeons Secretary so have some relevant experience but not recent and not care-related). I have sort of set my heart on this change now - will be applying Kings, St Georges, St Barts and Cambridge (the latter two pending finding said chem course!) - am a bit restricted because I live with my boyfriend and he has a city job so can only really apply to places in easy reach of London!
and breathe...
It would be great to chat to you guys some more....Slightly worried that I dont have quite such a sciencey background as everyone here....but trying to fix it

Please don't pay for a course, the UKCAT preparation book is more than enough. The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient whilst nature cures the disease...

Happy to answer any questions when I get 5 minutes...
