NHS bursary, independent student advice
Hey,
I currently in my first year of a 4 year graduate medical degree and am thkning about applying for my NHS bursary - but Im not sure if I qualify as an independent student.
I know I do for the student loans company - thats ones easy because you just have to be over 25, but apparently the NHS bursary doesnt consider age and instead you have to show that you have 'supported yourself for 3 years before starting the course'
I worked for 4 years before starting the course - but I lived with my parents (paying rent obviously). Does this mean I supported myself or not - ie in a way - will they want pay checks or utility bills to show youve 'supported yourself'??
Thanks for any advice
cant find anything online about it

They ask for your P60's or payslips to show you were working, it doesn't matter where you lived, so you should be okay
