I rung Liverpool today

enquired about the 6 year foundation programme. They said I would need to resit my maths & english at GCSE as they are only a C grade and Liverpoole require a B in both of those subjects I have 4 at C and 1 at B the others are D's, would I need to resit any others do any of you know?

The lady also said I would need healthcare experience, what kind of experience/work should I look into doing?

I am thinking about going with ICS to resit my GCSE's, its been such a long time since I was in school, lol!

I would email them your cv and ask them what qual you need and if your other gcses are good enough just like you've asked on here....

healthcare experience could be something like volunteering say in a hospice or a hospital....or when I needed experience I worked in a nursing home one day a week which was good as I got paid as well!

have you worked in healthcare before at all?

Check other courses...not all require grade B in Maths and English.

Thank you,

Liverpool would be my only option as I cannot travel really that far.

I used to work for a care at home company but thats been quiet a while. I currently work in the NHS but in administration.

def get some healthcare exp dirctly as above but you can also use that you work in the nhs to your advantage as depending where you work you may have gained knowledge about management of services and how things work at a higher level
i had a summer job as a med secretary in summer of 1st year and I learnt a lot I could apply
in Liverpool we learn about the nhs and how services are organised in the curriculum so it would be an advantage I think to know about these already

hope that helps
