Graduate entry interviews/rejections

There is a similar post to this on the medical interview section of this website but it seems its mainly the younger crowd applying for the A100 posting there so I thought I'd create a thread here for us older crowd applying for the graduate entry courses...

Anyone got an interview yet? Any rejections?

Leicester GEP
Soto GEP
Soton A100
Bristol pre-med
Lancaster pre-med

Still heard nothing. Just a letter from Bristol stating when the interview dates are.
It has been a little over a month now since the application deadline and it is hurting me! The frustration! Imagine if I get all rejected I think we should get some kind of award having to go through this!

Also guys I think it'd be helpful (or even more depressing LOL) if you could tell me your experiences/qualifications?

I have a BSc (Literature based on sciences, so not a real science degree as such), lots of voluntary work and lots of work experience. Getting a job as a health care assistant.

hmmm-

I have a BSc also. In Marine Biology so, science but not even human let alone medical. 1st class though if that helps?!
No voluntary work (eeek!)
3.5 yrs working for a pharma company, working closely with Drs, nurses, pharmacists etc.
Quite a bit of shadowing WE.
UKCAT 742.5, awaiting GAMSAT results.

I guess I'll start finding out soon whether that is a good enough combo or not!

I'm a funny mixed bag of good and not so good grades etc. Not sure how much they count for in a grad application - pretty good GCSEs, not so good A levels. Back in 2003 BSc Genetics (1st), PhD in DNA repair during meiosis (2007, Sheffield Uni) and now doing a postdoc at New York Medical Center in DNA repair and immunology and have a couple of published papers (oh yeah, UKCAt of 680). I have your average kind of WE, shadowing, care home etc but nothing particularly stellar. I think a big problem with my application would be justifying why the change from science

I am only applying to Kings GEP and the rest are five year programmes. I have a humanities BA, MA and two years of PhD research. I decided that the path I was taking was not the right one for me and so have applied to read medicine.
I have not heard anything as of yet.

Rosie1982 - you're re-applying? Where did you apply before? Did you go for any interviews?
