Graduate Entry-Ucas form

Hi ppl, hope every1 is kl.
Just wanted to ask if any 1 knew whether or not its ok to with-hold A-level grades if your applying for graduate entry courses? I'd rather just put on my degree, however do they require you to put on A-levels and GCSEs aswell however good or bad they are?
Any feedback on that would be much appreciated!

Hi DRNC,

You have to put everything on, GCSEs, A-levels, and degrees.

Thats not true, the universities see it (and I was told this by UCAS) as if it is on the form then that is what you have, if it is not on the form then you do not hold that qualification. So basically if you do not want to put certain information on your application form then that is fine, the universities will just assume that you only have a degree.

hmmmm going to be a bit awkward at interview tho...

"Ah, I see you have no GCSE's. So did you leave school at 14 then??"

"And no A-Level's? So how exactly did you manage to get into uni in the first place then!?"

Probably best to put 'em down. Get ur 2:1 and it wont matter at most unis. just do ur research

I think I'm with Gman on this one DRNC! Your best putting them down. If the unis don't use A-levels and GCSEs in their graduate academic requirements then they won't take them into account anyway even if their on your form but if you don't put them on their more likely to get suspicious and start asking questions despite whether or not they use them.

I disagree, if you have bad grades like D's and E's I would definitely not put them down, even if you do well in your degree and they say they dont consider other results, they will obviously see them and might find it hard not to be put off by them when they have lots of applicants with A's and B's.

If they ask you about it in interview it is easier to discuss why you got the bad grades and at least they will have the chance to meet you and might actually like you

if they ask awkward questions about why you didnt put down GCSE's and A Levels, just say because it says in their prospectus that they do not consider these grades. They will know you did some GCSE's and A levels or equivalent to gain access to your first course.

Yeh, but they may also think that you were hiding them to gain an advantage. I'm pretty sure your obliged to put you GCSE's and A-levels down on ur application form?

I'm not sure whether you HAVE to or not. However if you dont I think it very much depends on what your results are. If you dont put anything then I think the unis will assume the very worst (eg. you completely failed all or most) if your grades are merely mediocre they may well be better than admissions will assume if you dont put anythng at all.

The rules are you absolutely have to put down all qualifications. If your grades suck it's just tough.
