well i understood that LEA guidelines were that u could prove you'd supported yourself for 3 years. if u can prove u supported urself while u were living at home, then i would have thot that should be okay. no?

    MeLikeDoughnutsTooMuch,

So long as you have supported yourself for an aggregate total of 3 years, you will be OK. It does not matter that you live with your parents, it is the salary that counts.

Ring the NHS bursary folks. You have to negotiate the usual automated answer machine, but when you actually speak to a human they are very helpful.

The whole thing is laughable. I've worked for the NHS for over 5 years and most of the jobs in the health service are so poorly paid that you can't be completely independent.

I'm assuming though because I have enough money to pay my parents rent, to pay my bills for car etc., that the NHS bursary people will consider this "independent"??? I haven't had any money off my parents for years, I just live at home because house prices in the SE is prohibitively expensive on a crappy NHS salary!
