Welly - I have read (and responded to, where appropriate, I hope!) your posts alongside my journey on this forum....and just wanted to wish you luck and say 'courage, mon brave' as they apparently used to say in the French resistance...(well it always used to make my eldest daughter's (then) French boyfriend crack up, anyway....!)

You'll get there....as I'm sure the rest of you for whom "blimmin' medicine'" just won't stop knocking on your mental and emotional doors......

When I had got in to UCL - and had told my 4 (adult) girls...(who I had not even told I was applying again...!) they sent me a card inviting me out to a posh dinner......saying how very, very proud of me they were - but the caveat in brackets was "....if perhaps more than a little alarmed at your incredible stubbornness!"

chippy, catpea, racheljane et al - you have (almost!) all the time in the world - and if it is what you really want to and are meant to do - you will pursue it, and you will get there....

love and luck to all, gabby x

I made up my mind to start on the journey to do a medical degree, thanks to members like Gabby. Maybe in some years from now I might be in the same position

good luck to you too Gabby, I know you will do it (from what i have read) your children should be extremely proud of you, just wait until someone says 'doctor' to you!
