I don't think you need any more hands on at all! Given your experience in HR... communication, organisation, time management, planning, medical language and knowledge of NHS culture.. you are streets ahead of the old HCA game. The HCA experience is certainly useful , mostly for school leavers or younger students. The majority of mature entry come from diverse backgrounds... military, accounting, law, bank managers, general dogsbody etc.
