chemistry for arts mature students

Hi
I was wondering whether mature people from arts backgrounds have found the science on access/a-levels courses ok. Could anyone please tell me whther they found it (especially chem) really really difficult. All I remember of chemistry from school is drawing 's in the little atoms (that might even be physics in which case I remember no chemistry at all). Im sure it is different when mature and motivated and committed etc etc just like the other courses Ive done as a mature student but chemistry still seems as though it will be my main barrier to medicine.

I found (find!) chemistry pretty tough, coming from a non (traditional) science background onto a foundation year course. That being said, the further on you go, the less important it is to know the minute details of chemical structures etc, so don't worry too much about it

I am finding it hard but managable, I think if you apply yourself and put your mind to it you'll be fine, and DEFINITELY understanding is everything, at some point it seems to just 'click' and it's there. Exams next week so we'll see just how much of it has clicked for me lol.
