Hi,
I was told that the royal college of surgeons in Ireland have opened 2 medical school in the middleast ...one in bahrain and one in dubai...they r both recognised here in Ireland (maybe in england and other parts too)...
The good thing is they dont require top scores in a'level or any other high school certificates...and the fees are aroung £17k a year
the website for the one in bahrain is www.rcsi-mub.com
check google for the one in dubai
what do u think???

There's not much desire for me to move to the UAE when I can get a medical education which is GMC approved in a country I want to live in and where top up fees seem bliss compared to those quoted fees.

dubai
Well if I had 17k/yr to spare I would certainly consider it. Dubai is amazing (been 5 times) and tax free so you could earn some pretty pennies for a while then come back to England and take the exam to be registered with the GMC and buy a nice big house in the country.
If that floats your boat!
They are also into Sports Medicine out there (think of the golfers and tennis players) so if you have your sights on that I'd suggest doin elective there or something!
Sorry, I always like a good rant about my fav holiday destination!
Best of luck all
