I am facing a problem. I have just gradauted with a 2:1 in BSc Biochemsitry. My Alevels are Chemistry B, Urdu A, Physics C and Biology C. My GCSEs are Maths B, Double Science B,B, English Language C, English Literature C, Art C, History A, Urdu A*, Textiles C.
My GCSEs are not all As and the reason is that I completed my GSCEs in only one year (well 8-9 months). And the reason is my late arrival in UK. I did Englsih Language (Foundation paper) and the highest grade I could get was a 'C'. It wasn't possible for the teachers to put me in Higher tier but I still obtained a 'C' which is all I could get.
Now problem is that I have basically contacted all universities and all are happy with my academic qualification but have suggested me to either take ILETS or resit the English Language and get a minimum of grade B (cz this will strengthen my appliaction).
Is there anyone who had a 'C' in English Language and is now doing medicine. If yes, then What did you do? Where did you apply?
Also I wnat to know which one is better for me 'Ilets;' or 'resittting English subject' again?
I have been living here for the past 6-7 years. So what is ur wife studying at the moment? Was she in similar situation? ANy suggestions for Ilets preparation?
