Not sure this is quite the right spot for this thread, but I've managed to get a place on the GKT 5 year (yay!).
I'll be 21 years older than most of the students (who'll be the same age as my eldest child) and was just wondering if there are any other oldies out there who will be on the same course. We could get together and set up knitting groups, pipe & slipper parties, etc and hand out unsolicited advice about teen angst (which no-one will listen to because old people know nothing). Anyone up for that?
I'm just finishing the GKT FCNS year, so will be joining the first years on the 5 year course with you. I am 41 and not the oldest in the class, so there'll be plenty of opportunity for chats over cocoa, but my son is only 4, already displaying teenage attitude!
GKT have just stated a mature students society (over 21 counts as mature) and in cooperation with admissions have organised a mature students induction day, which you should be invited to, for that early opportunity to start all sentances 'in my day...'
I'll be the grey haired wizened old bat sitting at the back tutting during lectures, if you want to say hello.

Four is a lovely age. You know where they are at night and can choose their friends for them. And you can still win all the arguments. My mother used to say this stuff to me and I thought she was joking. And when you start sounding like your mother, it's definitely time to worry!
