I have had 5 years out and I'm 24, and that does not seem to be a problem

i'm a potential perpetual student. i did the first year of one course, now finishing a 4 year BSc in Computing (1 year is a sandwich year) If i end up doing medicine i will have spent a total of 10 years as a student and been a fresher 3 times.

i'm thinking of getting a degree in nutrition and then applying for medicine when i'm 21 or over! do you have to be 21 to be a mature student or do they consider going on 21 as mature too (e.g 20 in september month you apply to start and turn 21 in december)? :?

do you need A levels to apply as a mature student? :?

sorry about all the random questions! ops:

    thanx!

    Hi Blue

I think you have to be 21 or over, on the point of entry of the course to be considered as a mature.

No, Matures do not need A-levels, it depends on the university. A lot accept Access to Medicine courses and certain OU qualifications also.

Read FAQ for matures at the top of the post, lots of info there.
