I am in the process of writing an update now, but I am just amazed by how quickly the document has gone stale (and how quickly time has gone by).

In fact, I find myself doubting that I'm going to be able to find the time to update it again after this: I am too far away from the admissions process, so every time I touch it I need to do research and have to simplify areas because I just haven't got the time to delve into the nitty-gritty of, say, the DfES eligibility documents. If I have so much difficulty finding free time to do that now, I can't see it happening once I start my FP1 post next year.

There are also many excellent resources that weren't available when it was first created, such as Medschoolsonline and the BMA 'how to become a doctor' document, so I wonder whether its usefulness has run its course.

Thoughts, comments, swearwords, fish, all appreciated.

The latest version is available now. If the Geocities site is down (or if you just want a copy of the Word version), feel free to email me on alexismanning@googlemail.com for it.

Does anyone know?

Hi Guys,

Im a third yr physiotherapy student on line to get a 2.1, Im extremely keen to apply for 2009 entry on any accelerated entry course.
I have GCSE's grades: 3 A* AND 7 A's, however A-levels are: biology B and chemistry D physics D. I also got AS psychology B.
I know most of the accelerated courses say they dont consider A-Levels, but I cant help thinking they wouldnt like the look of my poor chemistry and physics results (After all it is medicine)
I aim to take the UKCAT in the summer.
Can anyone advise me on whether Iam wasting my time? Does anyone know of a similar situation and how it worked out? I'd really appreciate your responses.
Thanks in advance.
